Our next picnic barbeque will be held Sunday, August 4th, 2019 at Gilbert Willis Park, located off Loon Lake Rd. Look for Chickasaw St, then turn right on it, following into the park.
We'll be on the far right of the park, by the ballfield. Don't forget to bring a dish to pass, your favorite beverage, lawn chair(s), ice, and your "classic car".
We'll start at 11:30AM and go until about 5PM, no matter the weather, rain or shine. Please tell other classmates about this special event to get the word out there.
For your enjoyment, Rick Reed and I will be on the barbeques, cooking up our delectable & delicious burgers, brats, and 'dogs, along with Rick's famous WRIF-award-winning chili. You should also not forget to bring yearbooks and cameras so that we can get this event on film and maybe even showcase it on this website!
We will also be discussing the upcoming 50th year reunion at this picnic. There will a donation jar at the table if you'd like to help keep this site and these community events going. Rick and I both appreciate your help.

Directions to the park are as follows:
Heading south on Pontiac Trail, you will cross the RR track and the Big Boy Restaurant will be on your left.
Turn right at the light (West Maple).
Travel 1-1/4 miles and turn right onto Benstein Road.
Travel 1/3 mile and turn left onto Loon Lake Road.
Travel 1-1/3 mile and turn right onto Chickasaw Road.
Stay on Chickasaw through two stop signs and past the parking lot.
The pavilion is on the left across from the public restrooms and the tennis courts. You may park there.
Anyone bringing a physically challenged person may use the service drive that leads right up to the pavilion.
This drive can also be used to transport the above person(s) back and forth to the restrooms.
BRING: Your own food, drink, lawn chairs and any memorabilia you would like to display.(PG rating only)..LOL Guests are welcome. Larry Bilas & I are also whipping up some bodacious Bar-B-Q as our contribution. Last year's tailgater get together was very keowl......just ask Barb Ashe Brennecke, Bilas and Dan D'Andrea, Jim Brinker, the Barry boys.....we had a great day.
COST: There will be a charge of $1.50 per person to cover rental of pavillion
